Tashia Vigil is the Human Resources Director for Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos (N3B). She manages workforce training, compensation and benefits and employee relations initiatives that govern N3B best practices. She works as part of an integrated team to ensure that HR is positioned to support the mission and operations required to successfully execute the Environmental Management’s Los Alamos Field Office contract.
Prior to working with N3B, she worked for Los Alamos National Security as a senior human resources manager. In this role, she gained experience supporting large workforces with diverse business partners and service centers. She worked with multiple business organizations at LANL to ensure their business goals and objectives were met.
She transitioned from managing human resources to program management within the Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Weapons Program. Her experience as a program manager provided her with a wide variety of experience with numerous partners and customers external to LANL, such as Sandia National Laboratory, Pantex Plant and Kansas City National Security Campus. She was also responsible for proactively managing costs, schedule, budget and risk management.
Vigil earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix.
N3B manages the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract for the U.S. Department of Energy, Environmental Management’s Los Alamos Field Office. N3B is a limited liability company owned by HII Nuclear, a subsidiary of Huntington Ingalls Industries, and BWX Technologies.
