Alicia Lopez, geologist in the Environmental Remediation Program, took charge of a tour group visiting the project and made sure there was proper personal protective equipment usage, signage and area compliance. During the tour, Alicia pointed out area signage and hazards and conducted an onsite safety briefing.
When asked about compliance, she was able to produce a notebook with implementing documents (i.e., Job Hazard Analysis, procedures and work documents) and walked the participants through the material. Alicia clearly demonstrated her knowledge and care of visitors’ safety.
