On February 9, Christopher Diaz notified the TA-54 Operations Center that smoke was coming out of an electrical outlet in conex 142 at Dome 375. He was directed, if he felt comfortable, to use a dry chemical fire extinguisher on the outlet, which he did immediately.
Thanks to Christopher’s quick response, the fire was mitigated before it became an even larger issue. He is a safety-conscious and valuable resource for everyone at TA-54.
